On January 5–6, 2026, the STEAM-CT project officially kicked off with an energizing two-day meeting at TU Dresden. The partners from Germany, Greece, Austria and Portugal came together in Dresden to share ideas, spark discussions, and lay the foundation for the project journey.

From the very beginning, the workshop was shaped by engaging contributions from all participants. Farahnaz (TU Dresden) inspired the group with her perspectives on building a common understanding of critical thinking. Menelaos (Science View) explored the powerful connections between art and science, especially with performing arts, while Rosa (GHOU) demonstrated how storytelling can bridge disciplines and bring complex topics to life. Klaus and Ursula (both PH Tirol) introduced an instructional design model that guided rich discussions about conceptual framework of teacher trainings.
Beyond the formal sessions, meaningful exchanges continued during coffee breaks, meals, and a memorable dinner near Dresden’s historic opera house, the Semper opera.
The second day focused on shaping the project’s path forward. Together, partners refined the overall plan, discussed upcoming online activities, and began envisioning the project’s website.
As the meeting came to a close, everyone left Dresden inspired, full of fresh ideas, and motivated for the next steps ahead. The journey has just begun—and we are already looking forward to continuing our collaboration in the upcoming online meetings.
